Community Tasting Notes 54
January 23, 2016 - tasted blind from magnum.
nose - funky nose. mouth - rich , frunky fruit, soil&barnyard qualities here but in appropriate amounts. I have been presented this wine blinded on numerous occasions and I always guess Bordeaux. This time I had it pegged as a late 90s Cheval Blanc (as if I would even know what that tasted like).

January 12, 2016 - Impressive. Beautiful St. Emillion like effort. Complex bouquet of grilled meat, cassis and a hint of leather with a juicy ripe fruit and a great depth of flavor and a long finish. 2 points better than the '95 Monbousquet tasted during lunch

November 8, 2015 - Wow, this was outstanding! Too bad it was my last bottle. Had it with a bunch of other 10+ year old wines.

April 6, 2015 - Delicious. I would probably have guessed this was Bordeaux had I tasted in blind... Definitely a classic style here, but still showing a nice amount of fruit. Drinking VERY well right now, tannins are nicely integrated and you can certainly taste the age in a very good way. Exceptional wine!

April 5, 2015 - Wow!
Mature Napa merlot. Very complex aroma of black fruit, maybe a little "green" in scent but very pleasant. Tertiary scents and flavour coming through the thightly knit flavours of black berries, plum and some wood/soft spices. Very velvetty mouthfeel. Just wonderfull.
