September 1, 2023 - Tasted a second time after many years and many great wines since then and this is still the perfect wine - best I've ever had. Incredible intensity, length, balance. 5 minute finish. Remarkable.

January 20, 2022 - This was drank next to a phenomenal 1995 landonne and while this was structured and delicious from this excellent vintage, the tannins were clearly still present and the wine not as expressive at this stage. The potential was clearly present.

November 29, 2021 - Tastes young. I'd give it at least three more years before trying it unless you have multiple bottles. Oaky and very new worldish in style, reflecting the hot vintage. No overt Syrah character (a plus for me). Good wine but not worth the price tag. Very little sediment thrown.

October 15, 2021 - Back to the auctions (Bar Bould Sud): This was a treat to get to try it esp as I love La Mouline and '03 is meant to be one of the better years. At this stage it's just rocket fuel. Lots of alcohol and lots of oak. Needs a lot more time to calm down and then I hope that all starts to integrate more. Hard to see beyond it at the moment. Someone once told me these wines need at least 20 years so it's got at least 2 more to go (although I suspect maybe needs much longer than that).

October 15, 2021 - Sweet and ripe, consistent generosity. Somewhat less complex than last bottle. 93-94
