March 9, 2023 - From magnum. A tremendous large scale wine that retains magnificent purity and elegance despite being big. This was showing quite hedonistically with robust mouth filling ripe red fruits, Asian spice, and floral elements in abundance. The extremeness of vintage likely showing here as the fruit is the main star and in this format, giving only a glimpse likely of the longer term potential at further complexity and nuance. Fantastic now, but this should get much better. A real treat and blessing to have experienced this wine of wines.
April 24, 2021 - EOW Dinner- Crazy bottle of RC. Of course i haven't tried many but this one knocks it out of the park for me. Full body yet elegant. Most ones i've tried can be green or too light on the palate so this is the perfect balance for me. Not as expressive of a nose but the palate more than makes it up. Hotter vintage
April 24, 2021 - My tasting suffered from dirty glass that didn't revive from transfer. Floral perfume albeit not the same refinement of better vintages. Heat isn’t distracting, nice ripeness. (144/3575)
March 9, 2019 - From mag. Maybe its the enormous expectations that come with RC and even more so magnums of RC but I thought this was disappointing. A little disjointed, closed and hard to figure out. Wasnt overly ripe - just not presenting much of anything. Could have been closed esp from the format but my notes say fruit well behind the structure which may be a good sign for an 03.

This RC 2003 is very delicious at the moment. Great performance !!!
Mild-blowin' nose of fruit, very beautiful fragrant, opulent, very tempting and seductive.
Well-balance, great structure, easy to enjoy. I wish I can drink a whole bottle alone. Delicious with many detail.
Aftertaste is beautiful, feel like power of love, passion in its finished. Not as long as RC 1990 but very happy at this moment.
The time of RC 2003 has come. Everything is setting me free.
The most delicious Romanee-Conti I've ever had.

June 12, 2008 - A beautiful bottle of wine consumed much too young but as a birthday gift to a friend. There is so much going on here, and yet it is all barely hinted at, myriad currents and circulations under a calm, dark surface.
