April 13, 2024 - Medium dark red. Mid-weight , good depth, and concentration. Medium length. Tasted this in 2020 and predicted it needed 3-4 more years. Spot on and mature now. May hold at this level a couple more years but I doubt it will evolve further .
Popped cork 2 hours before serving.

February 2, 2024 - Opens up almost primary, on a bright cassis note, then shows some development and complexity. Some brandied cherry in chocolate. Good fresh coffee. Nice and pleasant, if a bit simple stil. Very fresh, attractive palate, quite fruity with red berries mostly, some almonds and coffee. Good structure. Med to med+ body. Bittersweet tones reminding of rowanberry. Bitterish aftertaste too, pleasantly so. Very good, could take some more time. Oak is almost integrated but shows in the end. Tannins fully resolved.

January 27, 2024 - From 75cl, perfect cork, decanted 1 hour, continued to open up in glass. Beautiful medium-weight Pauillac in early maturity, with all the balance and subtlety that implies. Still some primary blackcurrant left on the entry, but otherwise this is sufficiently mature to be a perfect accompaniment to simply roasted lamb. No, it isn't a blockbuster vintage, and no, it doesn't have the ink-well intensity of Lynch-Bages or Grand Puy Lacoste, and no, it isn't even trying to emulate Napa. But IMHO it's all the better for all that. Now–2028ish. 90P

December 31, 2023 - This was our NYE wine, served with Raclette and a variety of meats which complemented the Merlot component well. The palate was pleasant with soft tannins. Fruit seemed a bit weak, perhaps in line with the vintage and the age of the bottle. It could still go for a few more years in the cellar. The nose was not overpowering, a pleasant mix of earthiness, cigar box and the characteristics of a good Bordeaux. A good enough wine, especially given its price, but not quite as good as expected.

December 23, 2023 - My Christmas wine with my better half. Sediment in this bottle with slight bricking on the rim.

Aromas of perfume and lots of it, with cherry, dried herbs, black currant, pine, and some barnyard. Aromas change constantly to be very complex.

Medium minus juicy red fruit, cocoa, prune, dried herbs, menthol, and chocolate. With time some potting soil shows up along with wet tobacco. Medium silky tannins with medium acidity and a very long finish.

Drank over three hours. Happy Holidays.
