December 10, 2023 - Annual Tasting Group Holiday Party (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. Wow, this is bright, limestone, in fact a cornucopia of mineral notes, tart green apple, amazing florals, slightly savory, subtle fennel, touches of stone fruits, long and intense on the finish. This is a beautiful expression of Les Clos in just a stellar vintage -splendid. Right in the sweet spot.

May 27, 2023 - Vertical/Horizontal Tasting of Chevillon Nuits St. Georges Premier Crus (San Francisco): Medium yellow. Saline, musky, citrus fruit, excellent acid/sugar balance. No signs of fatigue. Moderate intensity for a Grand Cru. Excellent.

April 16, 2022 - Looks like it was just released-light yellow with a glint of green. Lean, clean lemon and herb. Excellent but its strength is freshness and purity rather than complexity. Rather one dimensional for Grand Cru Chablis, although it is a good dimension.

February 13, 2022 - Nop premox here but the structure is also resolved. This reminded me of apples, but moreso a canned pear in syrup flavor. Ready to go.

    March 6, 2021 - Light gold
    Creamy lactic aromas
    Creamy light lemon flavors,
Very easy to drink, but this bottle fell a bit flat, missing verve.
In context, rather a disappointment. Bourgogne, but not obviously chablis.

April 30, 2020 - Pale green gold color. Split bottle over 2 hours. Loved this; another 2010 winner that's singing. Stellar nose just bristling with oyster shells and lemon, brine and floral top notes. The palate is lifted and lively, filled with sea shells, brine, crisp lemon, flint and stone, very long and invigorating. Loved it.

March 12, 2020 - Beautiful wine, liquid minerals but at the same rich and dense and citrusy. I was wowed by this in earlier years and more recently wowed by some Dauvissat 1eres, Vaillons in particulary. Now, perhaps not the tension/well-defined acidic spine of Dauvissat. Still very crystalline and light colored. This is an awfully fine bottle of unoaked chardonnay, if not a great Clos. I will drink my remaining bottles with great pleasure and more realistic expectations.

September 9, 2019 - Tasty but lacking acidity at this point. Past its prime or bad bottle variation but hard to reconcile with the past where the acid was noticed and appreciated.

March 16, 2019 - Surprisingly spicy aromas. Intense and elegant on the palate. A bit muted and uninspiring in the beginning, but improved in the glass, as more sea and mineral aromas emerged.

January 20, 2019 - Very good but not wow. Notes of lemon oil, green apple, and minerals. Got more complex and deep over time, but it lacked some freshness.
