February 22, 2018 - Red cherry, cranberry, and raspberry fruit up front. Nice core of earth, Chinese five spice, orange peel, and jasmine tea. Medium acidity and finish.

December 12, 2016 - Mature Cali PN. Ripe and full bodied, the acidity and tannins have mellowed leaving nicely balanced wine. The structure is fairly simple- not much complexity beyond the cherry cola fruit notes. Drink now.

December 7, 2016 - This was quite nice and took about 2 hours to fully open up. Nose is quite dark and Cherry fruit driven with camphor and raspberry preserves. Palate is a bit more interesting as it enters with Cherry, Sweet Earth and Spice then quickly shows a pop of Cranberry and Orange Peel. This spark of acidity allows some of the nuance to come out on the finish. Chinese five spice, black pepper, floral notes and and dried black cherries resonate on the finish.

A very good wine, but I recall it being more put together in its youth. Decanting helped, but this seems to be in a good place to drink.

February 19, 2015 - Decanted for about two hours. This is my fourth and final bottle of this wine. It was slightly better than the rest or really about the same probably. Rich tastes of cherry and cranberry with good acidity. Consistent with previous notes.
