Community Tasting Notes 100

July 25, 2016 - Nose still wonderful and vibrant. While technically not old, right now the fruit was taking a backseat to the other components of the wine. A more mellower feel. I still have some so I will update my notes after tasting again this evening.

June 28, 2016 - Not a pleasant wine. Nose of oak and taste of formadehyde. Very similar to prior bottle.

June 25, 2016 - On Pegasus - Fruity and floral on the nose with a rich purple color, it coats the glass with glycerin. This was not as much a shot to the head as earlier bottles and there was little backdrop of tackiness. It is smooth and beguiling and charming.

June 24, 2016 - Opulent and purple with a flowery & fruity nose. Very fruit forward. No sense of tackiness or backwardness. An easy slurper without being juicy. Not as overpowering as past bottle, but still very good. 92 - 93

June 5, 2016 - Opulent, dark, rich, smooth and wonderful. Decanted for 1 hour and had at La Vara restaurant in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Beautifully crafted 100% grenache, immediately impressive and improved in the glass. While certainly a big, Parker-style wine, it went very well with the food, and took center stage and was luxuriously uplifting.
