April 10, 2021 - Just a delightful wine; similar experience to that from November 2018. Clear, deep ruby color, no signs of bricking. Entering the early stages of maturity, lots of persistent red florals, followed by stewed cherries, ripe raspberries, juicy plums, spicy red currant, mocha, drying tobacco leaf, and crusty red soil. Smooth and silky texture with fruits, tannins and acids all in perfect balance. Finishes very strong, held up easily to a grilled ribeye steak and Brussels sprouts. Drink now, at peak, additional cellaring unlikely to support further development. If cellared properly, this should drink well for another 3-4 years, or beyond.

November 3, 2018 - I haven’t enjoyed this wine since 2012. Medium plus body with a clear medium ruby color. Opens with a very perfumed nose displaying red flowers, spicy red currant, earthy loam, charred cedar, tobacco, ripe dark berries, cherries and plums. Smooth, velvety texture with silky, well integrated tannins. Medium plus acidity. Long finish that lasts for an eternity. Great wine with grilled ribeye. Still relatively youthful at eleven years. I think this can easily cellar another 2-3 years.

September 29, 2018 - Drinking very nicely right now. Decanted gently as I figured there would be some sediment in the bottle after 11 years. However it was clear to the last drop. Primary fruit is now well integrated with some cigar box and leather. Very expressive nose. I do not imagine it will get too much better with additional age, but is very good right now.

May 3, 2018 - No decant. Wine started with a great nose, but went from great nose to average nose pretty quickly. Drink up.

January 2, 2018 - dark fruit on the nose. pop and pour, consumed over 2 hour period. seemed ready for business when I opened, so no decant. after 2 hours I did not notice a significant difference. I am not thinking that a decant was required or would have improved the experience. a nice wine that seems to be in its drinking window.
