January 26, 2016 - Past its prime. I should have opened this a long time ago.
The nose is still a nice typical sauv blanc. Grapefruit, pineapple, mango with underlying minerality. The acidity is mostly gone so this comes across a bit flabby and unstructured. Just a bit of fruit. Short uninteresting finish.
June 12, 2015 - Smooth but complex. Almost like a Chardonnay with nice citrus and butter flavors but with a bit of sharpness at the finish.
December 18, 2014 - Great with our macadamian crusted cod
April 29, 2014 - Warm weather Sauvignon blanc. Apple, peach and vanilla notes.
A little light on the acid balance for a Sb, but worked well with seafood.
Nice wine for the money.
February 28, 2014 - Nice tropical fruit on the nose, less on palate. Not much acidity. Enjoyed it.
August 20, 2013 - Crisp and clean. A light citrus and a little vanilla taste. Refreshing.
June 2, 2013 - Rather like a chardonnay, indeed. Tropical fruit and ripe citrus but lacking in acidity/crispness for my taste. Smooth, summery and seemed sweet for a sauvignon blanc. Not outstanding as an aperitif but might make a very night accompaniment to the right meal.
May 21, 2013 - More of a modern style SB. There is a touch of oak with the tropical fruit and slight grassy notes. Chard lovers will like this more than traditional SB lovers who prefer a crisper flavor profile.
March 27, 2013 - Drank a bit too late - acidity was overpowering the normally balanced fruity notes. Still a very good looking and drinkable wine.
