January 21, 2014 - Served at a 50th B-day party for my wife to about 30 people. Currant, dark chocolate, smooth, full bodied. Nice wine and perfect for the group.
January 8, 2014 - Drinking real well right now.
Decanted through venturi into ships decanter.
Consumed with a hearty turkey chili. Cherry nose and flavors, enough tannins to stand up to the chili. Last glass after dinner without food was also very good. Great everyday wine and great PPV as I bought this during a sale. Wish I had more than the 3 bottles left. (I have consumed a case already)
December 5, 2013 - This wine is in a great place right now. Great blend
September 6, 2012 - Starts dry and follows mid palate with dark fruits black berry and cherry. Very nice finish. I drank alone on a sandwich night and it was a perfect companion to a roast chicken sandwich with corn on the cob!
July 21, 2012 - I find this to be a 'drink now' wine. Simi opaque garnet in color. Black fruit and tar on the nose, primarily cab on the palate. The most pleasent component of this wine is the soft, silky smooth tannins. Overall a very pleasant wine, great with burgers or rib eye. I paired it with lamb this evening and found it to be overpowering.
July 20, 2012 - Decanted for approx an hour, solid - deep rich fruit layered with maple, cedar and tobacco.
May 30, 2012 - Black and red fruit palate. Strawberry and raspberry noted. No backbone. No umph. A mediocre mix.

April 9, 2012 - - Medium forming legs - Excellent for $18. Wish I would have bought a whole case.
March 11, 2012 - Oak and a hollow mid-pallet! Who could ask for more.
