October 15, 2021 - Small vertical, non blind... this is I think the best white wine I have ever tasted. Gorgeous smell of taffy, white flowers and some citrus still. The finish was beyond anything I have had including many grand cru white wines.
August 25, 2020 - I didn’t take notes and so needed to wait for rocknroller’s to recall the cru. This was stunning and a total treat to drink. My co-WOTN along with the 02 Dom ona night of riches from the first wine to the last.
August 25, 2020 - The Triple Threat "165" Birthday Bash (65/60/40) (Minikahda Club, Mpls): Medium dark gold color plus. Savored a glass over 90 minutes. Same bottle as Chablis28. We seem to be in lock step so far with our ratings and notes which is interesting since we were seated nowhere near each other and didn't really get to talk about the wines much at all. Well, I completely agree with him. This was outstanding and in perfect shape. A wonderful example of aged white Burgundy. This has a great nose, old cedar box, flint, earthy, orange peel, lemon, honey and wet stone. The palate is full bodied with just tons of minerality; wet stones and slate, rich and still lifted, honey, lemon oil, citrus, golden fruit, very good length. This was a real treat.
August 25, 2020 - Wow, another aged wine tonight that showed up in excellent condition. What a treat! This was a rare opportunity to drink fully resolved white Burgundy with amazing refinement and class and no discernable flaws or drop. Plenty of energy with gorgeous citrus, honey, stone fruit and spice. Very pretty! Thanks Dave D!
July 24, 2018 - JM House. Deepish color. Let's call this natural oxidation at this age. Mature aromatics, sweet.

Mon blanc de la soirée. Un vin dense et savoureux, long et pénétrant, équilibré, complexe. Grand vin. 94-95 pts
February 27, 2016 - Pristine condition. Very lucky that it was not premox. Nose had toasted nut, honey, yellow fruit, minerals and some popcorn. It was fat and a bit oily with good acidity and minerality. Drinking very well but I dont see much upside from aging longer.
June 12, 2014 - The pick of the bunch among the three lafons. Very sharp and racy with lovely tension. Just slightly hard on the finish for me. Still a lovely wine with years of development ahead of it. Absolutely not prem-oxed.
July 10, 2013 - Spicy, dark, aromatics with buckwheat honey. Med+ body, rather lean, citrussy. Piercing acidity, but no finesse, bitter edge. Very long.
July 10, 2013 - Slightly lifted nose of baked apple, vanilla and some florality. Slight oxidation. The acetic acid character blows off with time.
Dry palate with mid-intense acidity and round ripe fruit. Some floral notes and proportioned oak. Straightforward and underperforming.
Something wrong here probably. Shame.
