July 30, 2016 - This is drinking better each year i open it--Kirsch pepper and garrigue to the nose, well integrated tannins and acid for balance--good finish. The body id still fleshy with the structure to hold it. secondary flavors are coming in around the current and blackberries. Drinking very well now but Parker says let it sit another 3 years, so will hold off for another year for sure. Now i regret just buying 1 case!

July 28, 2016 - Medium ruby color turning crimson at the rim with a transparent edge. The nose is very attractive and tightly knit with effervescent aromas of eucalyptus, violets, anise, and dried herbs. The palate is highly concentrated with a silky texture and vibrant acidity. Flavors of black cherry, raspberry, cranberry, plum, cassis, red licorice, leather, cola, and fig. Very lovely, elegant and sublime. Finishes long and refined, ending on a high intensity note. Drink now until 2030. 96+

June 26, 2016 - Opened and decanted in bottle for 2+ hours. Didn't need the decant as it was alive and kicking from the first minute with big, bold zesty nose of wonderful plummy garrigue and rich red cherry fruit compote on the tongue. My only complaint was that it couldn't keep the party gong for more than 4 hours and started to taste tannic and somewhat bitter after this point in time. So maybe it's starting to shut down or else it's still not ready for its young adulthood stage. But while it remained open it was very rewarding. Great great balance and such sweet yet unassuming fruits. Let me tell you, when these '10s come together, they really do sing. I can't wait to see how they develop in the 10-15 year range.

May 13, 2016 - Lovely medium red in color, upon opening a beautiful bouquet of red cherries, flowers, licorice, spices, could this be the greatest Vt in the last 30 years? Full bodied, meaty, juicy, complex, concentrated, tannic, will be long lived. Much more opened than the bottle drunk in 2013. after a 4 hour decant - nose about the same but not as fresh as when opened, silky tannins, balanced, but still a babe, next bottle in 3 years, I concur with Parker on this beauty

May 4, 2016 - Definitely the biggest, fullest vintage of this wine I've had. A bit tight today, this will benefit from a few more years of rest.
