January 7, 2015 - One of the best Young Chateaneufs I've ever tasted!

This has all of the amazingly sexy fruit of the 2009, but elevates to another level with strong serious framing tannins. Red fruits dominate with serious purity and black fruits slide in to add complexity. This is a beautiful long-lasting C9.

December 24, 2014 - Decanted for nearly four hours before drinking. Translucent dark purple in color. Musky scent at opening, but this blew off with time. Also sour and spicy at opening, but the sourness subdued with time, leaving only the spiciness. Woody scent. Black pepper on the palate overpowering all other flavors, with an aftertaste of capsum. Seems very closed and made to last for quite some time. This was surprising, as every other 2010 CNDP I have had thus far has been very approachable. Best I not open the remaining bottle for at least 5 years. Will try this again tomorrow.

November 28, 2014 - Better than I would have imagined. Great taste, perfect balance. I loved it! I wish that I purchased more than 2 bottles.

November 26, 2014 - Still closed. The only improvement from 6 months ago is that strong fruit aroma starts to show after 1 hour decante, but it is still full of alcohol. 3 more hours in my glass and it gets a little more balanced. Not a bad bottle, it is just not a good drink window.
