May 13, 2016 - Lovely medium red in color, upon opening a beautiful bouquet of red cherries, flowers, licorice, spices, could this be the greatest Vt in the last 30 years? Full bodied, meaty, juicy, complex, concentrated, tannic, will be long lived. Much more opened than the bottle drunk in 2013. after a 4 hour decant - nose about the same but not as fresh as when opened, silky tannins, balanced, but still a babe, next bottle in 3 years, I concur with Parker on this beauty

May 4, 2016 - Definitely the biggest, fullest vintage of this wine I've had. A bit tight today, this will benefit from a few more years of rest.

April 22, 2016 - Drunk together with Pegau 2010 cuvee reservee. Opened both bottles at 10.30 in the morning to let breath (kept in cellar with temperature of 12 celsius). At about 15:30 poured some wine into glasses to allow to better breath and move to slightly warmer location. Started to drink the wines at about 18:30. Both wines with nice typical chateauneuf character. The la crau was very fresh and complex but still young. The pegau had substantially more ripeness / age character. All preferred the la crau over the pegau.
Even better after 5 more days!

April 19, 2016 - HdR Farewll BBQ (Hospice du Rhone): Nice to get another chance at this. I might have even liked it more. Purple in color. Floral nose with spices, minerals and lots of kirsch. Its a big wine but showing a nice complexity as it unwinds in the glass. Lots of fruit. Fresh acidity. Long finish.

April 18, 2016 - HdR Seminar 1: CdP (Hospice du Rhone): 65% Grenache. Ruby in color with slight purple swirls. The nose has cherries and slight black cherries. Great seamless texture. Great fruit. Black cherries and a salinity that is interesting. Thick tannins. Long warm, not hot finish. This is an outstanding wine with lots of upside potential. Great depth, freshness and tight complexity.
