    June 20, 2017 - Rhone-dezvous Series 1

    9.5-
Nose was tight (only 3 hour decant) but the bright, crisp berries came shining through. Berry pie all around. This improved with 24 hours in the bottle as the acid tones down and you get some mellowing into plum compote elements. Lovely garrigue. Stacy and I thought this was in the top 3 of the night.

December 9, 2016 - DTC 90 - 100 Parker Points wines (@ PvdB): In the bouquet red berries and cherries, coffee, chocolate, sweet spices, sweet licorice and good oak. On the palate juicy dark berries, a lot of sweet impressions like cinnamon and currants, licorice, but also firm acidity and soft tannin. It is all there, but the wine is going all directions. Beautiful alright, but much too young. Wait until 2025. No score from me for today.

December 9, 2016 - Ongebalanseerd en onaangenaam op dit moment. Veel te jong, heeft nog jaren geduld nodig.

October 28, 2016 - I just opened this and tasted it without air. Really amazing bones and enjoyable from the first sip, but clearly this needs time to show it's best. I'm sad that I didn't save this bottle for a night when I had more time to let it breathe. The tannins are very present, but not so firm as to be unapproachable... they just sit there on the finish as a friendly reminder that you should have left this in the cellar for a few more years.

September 29, 2016 - Had over two days next to the 2010 Chaupin. Showed in that mild dumb phase in the fact that there were so many complexities to the wine but they are all still fighting to show themselves. Layers of chalk and gravel dust, raw meats, fresh dark berries and dates/fig/plums. A load of provincial herbs with a monster amount of anise/fennel/black licorice. Massive on the palate and an extended finish. Should be a epic wine in 10-15 yrs.
