May 9, 2020 - Tasted blind in a 2004 Batard line up. Advanced color, yellow with orange hue. Far too oxidative for me to score.

November 25, 2016 - A benchmark batard to me. Nose has matchstick, tropical friit, nut and durian. Palate is fat and intense. Everyone guessed its an older batard. Its very forward and accessible. It gives you everything it has upfront that I cant give it a higher score.

June 15, 2016 - Medium yellow. Attractive nose of citrus, minerals, flowers, vanilla. Very fresh and sappy on the palate with very good freshness and length. Excellent Chardonnay.

August 27, 2015 - Yet another Bbt. Med golden yellow in color, cool airy nose of white flowers and honeysuckle. Concentrated in mouth, tinge of tangerine, followed by ample sweetness and soft acidity. Suave follow through and last long. Lovely wine and seems at its peak now.

May 14, 2015 - Second bt, golden yielding ripe apple, apricot and cream. Very fine balance of sweetness and acidity here, more subtle apricot and minerality and steely, not typical batard that is fat and plush. Sharp edge but lingers. Best with oysters?

February 23, 2013 - Top 09 and 10 red Burgundy tasting (Capital Grill at Tysons corner, VA): Purchased at release, the color is a lightly darker than usual, tropical fruits, butter scotch and tarte tartin. Medium body, a burnt sugar note, medium acidity and relatively short finish. It isn’t obviously premoxed yet not as fresh as one expects from less than ten year old GC white burgundy, especially a Niellon. As expected, the wine slightly improved with a couple hours of air showing a bit more focus. This showing and the vintage, I am not a buyer.

January 12, 2012 - We drank this inpair with Ramonet Bienvenues '07, which i thought would be an interesting exercise to have an idea of the differences btw the two vintages. The nose was so beautiful with complex nots of nuts, almonds and apples. Later honey nad peaches. Palate was nearly perfect. Full body, but at the same time clean and live. Acidity and citrus balanced well the deep and concentrated fruit content. Very very complex long finish. I think this could grow even better with 3-5 more years in bottle and it can certainly last another decade.

June 2, 2011 - Fantastic wine. Layers of ripe pears and citrus fruits framed by vanilla, minerally, creamy and faintly oily elements; conveyed with power and a sense of mouthfilling richness, yet there's a remarkable lightness of touch as this just glides across the tongue with a glossy, polished mouthfeel. Lots of depth, impeccable balance and impressive persistence - should be amazing with time if premox doesn't get to it.

September 9, 2010 - Sasi's Birthday Burgs (Restaurant Alba, Keong Saik Road): This was something quite special. Guessed it as a Batard from a high-acid year, but could not quite figure out who the maker was. Nose was very impressive, with rich notes of honey, nectar, peaches, ripe lemon, and some gentle lashings of butter, cream and vanilla. The delicious palate had lovely weight on it, and absolutely mouth-filling flavours of honey and caramel lined with a serious minerally streak, full of flint and metal-ore notes. In spite of its heft and power, the wine still displayed a lovely balance, with nice tight lines where everything was perfectly in place, so that this came across as more elegant than most Batards. Finish displayed more of that serious weight and concentration, with some nuttiness, lots of Manuka honey tones and a wash of beautiful fresh acidity that just lifted the wine at its very tail. A really impressive showing.
