June 25, 2023 - Beautiful wine . Wonderful producer. This wine is ready to drink but could be held for another 10 years

October 7, 2022 - Drinking beautifully right now. Lots of red currents and fruit still prevalent. Well balanced but leaning a bit to the tannic side. Has a hint of earthiness at the finish. A solid wine holding well for a 2009.

August 14, 2022 - Fruit muted but should be expected with a 12 yo bottle. Good dark color, not too much bricking, with a medium finish and balanced. Leather and more earthy notes now coming through

September 11, 2021 - Opens with a nose of lavender that fills the room. Still plenty of red fruit, raspberry, dark cherry on the palate with a bit of cassis and hint of baking spice. Full bodied with a 20-25 second finish. Tannins are well integrated but still evident. Very tasty bottle of wine consumed with charcuterie on the beach near sundown. A word to the wise and I have said this before. This wine needs to be open and aerated at least three hours before drinking to fully reveal its balance.

October 9, 2020 - Medium to dark ruby in color. Black cherry, strawberry, raspberry on the nose along with a bit of alcohol. On the palate, black and blue fruits and cassis come to the fore with a bit of chocolate on a medium, slightly oaky finish. Nicely balanced and drinking very well.

October 13, 2018 - Thoughts after a 70 minute aeration and decant: Probably needs to breathe a bit longer and this is consistent with previous experiences. Deep indigo in color. Clarity is medium to low. Nose full of strawberry, raspberry and chocolate. On the palate however, darker fruits, blackberry and plum come through with a bit of sour cherry. Thought this was a bit one dimensional compared to other vintages. Medium bodied with limted tannin and a medium finish. A nice wine but not the best bottle of this I have tasted.

This has now hit the 2 and a half hour mark. Some Bordeaux like earthiness has added some complexity and layering but this still doesn’t have much body or backbone.

May 12, 2018 - I liked this bottle a little less than previous ones i remember. To be fair didnt have time to decant so popped and poured. The nose is warm black fruit and chocholate. The mid palate is unctuous and fleshy sportibg flavors of black fruits, tobacco with a slight greenish streak. Nice full finish. The wine is tasty but lacks precision. Can age at least five more years if not more.
