July 28, 2014 - Kompleks, elegant nese av solbær, røkt kjøtt, mokkabønner, jord og vegetative toner. Slank, saftig og delikat i munn, med flott struktur og lang utgang som varer og varer. Nyansert og elegant. Stor vin.

March 1, 2014 - A bottle of perfect provenance (rare-wine.com) and condition, the level into the neck. A quintessential Cheval Blanc at the late heights of its life. From nose (rustic truffles) to palate (portish, sweet ripe fruits) until the long lasting aftertaste, this wine is just full of exuberant drinking-pleasures. Double decanted (back into cleaned bottle) four hours before, it was singing from the first til the last sip. This wine does not have to work anymore, it is of utterly elegance, which puts yourself in peace.
We had a lot of great 70s this winter (eg Latour, Ducru Beacucaillou, Haut Brion, Lafleur Petrus), but this (bottle of) Cheval Blanc is the silent leader, with the serenity of a fulfilled life. Drink now-2025.

August 16, 2013 - BYO - Erik (Frederiksberg): Sweet manure nose with some cherry like fruit but also a little sewer and coffee.
Very elegant palate with raspberries and asphalt but also a strong acidity.

June 16, 2013 - Sunday Night Wines II: BN fill. Fairly developed color; forest floor, acid and bonfire smoke; long and fresh, some sweetness, complex, rounded and pleasing. At peak.

March 28, 2013 - Fill was high shoulder. The wine was singing. Very complex nose with earth, tobacco, dried fruit, cedar. Smooth mouthfeel with silky tannins, elegant yet powerful, very long.1 person found this helpful Comment

Bipin Cheval Weekend, 12/7/2007 90 points
(Cheval Blanc) Bipin preferred the 1970, whose plummy, nutty, figgy and gamy qualities set it apart from the rest of the flight. There was just a touch of menthol and cedar in its singular nose. The palate had nice richness and more plum flavors, meatier in style, and its acidity took over in the glass. Francois Audouze, our Parisian representative, hailed the 1970 as best of flight, followed by the 1988, 1971, 1985 and 1978, in that order
