July 18, 2019 - In my view a beautiful expression of wonderfully-mature Rioja! Love the nose of leather, cigar box, raisins and coffee. Very soft and delicate, enjoyed drinking without food (my preference) with a very lovely, smooth finish. Only brief decanting, and frankly the wine was best in the first 30 minutes so do not recommend too much time in the air. Wine loses some of fruit over a few hours.

October 24, 2014 - SAG (Blind) Tasting (Chez Weber - Chicago IL): Tasted double blind in what turned out to be a "1982" flight. Lots of mostly fresh red cherry. Very elegant and nicely balanced, also on the lean style. i expect this is just entering its peak drinking window and will continue to improve for at least another decade.
