Cote d'Or Likes this wine:
March 8, 2023 - Tasted over 2 hrs
-translucent med gold
-beeswax lanolin feral smoky funk honey
-med/med+ acidity adds lift to the finish, med/med- weight silky textured focused mineral honeyed but not sweet gently sappy lemon residue and moderately long finish with faint caramel oak
-opens up nicely with air to reveal a beguiling fairly complex wine, no oxidation -

October 30, 2019 - I've now had 4 bottles of this wine - all of them stored at 55 degrees in my personal cellar.
The first bottle was in October 2019 and the second sometime later in 2019. The first bottle was excellent - full-bodied and nutty. hints of honey and mineral. Really an excellent bottle.
The second bottle was fine, but it was missing the high notes that the first had.
I served the second and third this Labor Day 2020 for lunch with friends. Both bottles were a disaster. One was completely premoxed with the second tasting slightly premoxed but also a strong sulfer/reduction taste. We threw both bottles out.
So . . . either these bottles are aging out OR I just got lucky on the premox with the first bottle OR I somehow damaged the bottles (but I doubt it). I would be very careful buying this wine and, if you have it, drink it up.1 person found this helpful Comment -

May 24, 2015 - Stones, stone and citrus fruits, and a trace of honey/vanilla on the nose. Palate has enticingly creamy, weighty fruit on entry but becomes lighter with a sense of tension midpalate as the acidity and slight oak tannins weigh in. My only other LaFarge white has been the Aligote but this is in a whole different class (of course).
