Community Tasting Notes 6

Mittlerer Abgang. 90 - 91

March 23, 2018 - I was surprised immensely by this wine -- in blind tasting I would have never guessed it came from Rioja. It is the most bordeaux-like Rioja wine I have ever drunk. And a good one, at that. Nose is rich, of dark fruit. In the mouth the wine is very concentrated, with rather high acidity and good fruit, all this balanced. Medium finish. It has enough tannins to last for many years more, so I will revisit my next bottle in the future.

    November 28, 2017 - Glass: Zalto Universal
Bottled drunk over 3 days, not decanted.
Clear, deep, inky purple color. Clean, medium intense and still youthful nose. Packed and dense, not yet fully developed with aromas of dark fruit (cherry, blackberry), some tobacco, smoke, lactic notes, floral signs.
Dry, medium+ acidity that balances the 14%abv quite well. Medium body with medium+ fine, silky tannin. Medium intense flavors that are also not yet fully developed. Quite a lot of primary red fruit, some chalky mineral notes. Elegant, with a medium+ finish. Everything is there but still veeery young. Give it at least 5+ years. Currently around 91 with potential to 93+. Good PQR

March 20, 2015 - Tanninbombe!
