    March 9, 2013 - Also a pop and pour. I agree with cmaldoon's note. This bottle is showing some sediments as well, much like the other 2003 (but the "non-reserve" version) I drank a month before. I was also surprised by the wine's acidity. You can definitely tell the "heavier" oak treatment that this bottling received. I actually prefer the regular bottling compared to this reserve bottling because I'm not a big fan of that heavy oak style of wine.

    Color: dark ruby. Moderate sediment. Nose: fruity and well-balanced but not special. Palate: strong blueberry with some blackberry and oak. Bright acidity for such dark flavors. Fruit, oak and tannin well integrated at this age. Tannins significant quantity, but very nice chalky quality.
