May 21, 2017 - Based on the vintage 2010. Tasted blind.

Cloudy orange color with a coppery brown hue. We're now definitely in the orange wine territory. Aromatic and funky nose with complex aromas of orange marmalade peanut butter, some waxy character, a little bit of smoke, a hint of bergamot and a touch of wild blossom. Dry, medium-bodied and wild on the palate with quite noticeable streak of bitterness and complex flavors of stony minerality, orange marmalade (without any marmalade sweetness), some leather, a little bit of bruised apple and a hint of whitecurrant. Although somewhat concentrated and oily, the wine feels very structured and even a bit gritty with its racy acidity and moderately firm and grippy tannins. The savory finish is long and complex with some nuanced nuttiness, earthy spiciness, some dried orange zest, a little bit of bergamot and a hint of tangy green apple. The tannins make the wine finish on a somewhat astringent, gritty and slightly bitter note.

A wonderful, tightly-knit and serious orange wine with great purity and incredible complexity. Feeling a bit softer and more evolved than 3 years ago, the wine has undoubtedly benefited from the aging; however, I can still see some room for further development here, so there is no hurry to pop these bottles open. Most likely will start peaking at around 10 years of age. Terrific stuff.

April 15, 2017 - I'm not sure why people are questioning this. This is obviously an oranage wine. This bottle had a heavy rust color. I had it over 2 nights. Also, for me it was not oxidized. It is just a very different taste. Slightly effervescent. A slight cough medicine, then a stone, earth an tangerine taste. Strong taste. Full bodied, it coats the mouth. I know it is polarizing, but if you like to taste the boundaries, and the different wines, this is one of the better ones.

July 3, 2016 - Orange. Citrusy nose, orange, sea buckthorn but also sweet, rip fruit. A thoroughly dry and slightly tannic palette. Entertaining to the last.

December 13, 2015 - Wow, this bottle offered no pleasure. And I'm a long-time fan of Cornelissen wines.

February 4, 2015 - Resembles an orange wine. Waxy, heavily oxidized, with noteworthy acidity. Could be mistaken for a quality cider. To me, this would match excellent with pintxos.
