June 4, 2018 - Funky to start, with intense smoke, leather, and paint thinner. Very volatile. But, thankfully, it blew off, revealing a soft and delicate wine. Pretty body, nice texture. Some fruit showed up after a while: cherry and blood orange. Brown sugar, spice, and sage. Lengthy finish with super fine tannins that just linger forever.

This evolved nicely for 30m-1hr after opening (pop and pour). It definitely exceeded expectations, and was a really unique and interesting experience!

June 4, 2018 - Started off very musty and was worried it was corked. The mustiness blew off to leave a spectacular wine. The aromatics were lovely with cherry notes, that wonderful aged sous bois, aged leather note that I love in old wines.
The palate was wonderfully complex, delicate but still had some backbone. Long delicious finish.
    Wow wine
