February 22, 2024 - Balanced, big, not youthful but very much full
of life in February 2024. Black fruit, hints of cedar. Ripe fruit with a hint of spice/sweet tobacco. Balanced medium plus tannins. Medium plus finish.
January 23, 2024 - Right Bank Bordeaux Tasting: Tasted single blind. Young. Black fruit. Noticeable oak. Candied black cherry fruit on the finish. Tastes like a new world wine. Turns out it was a right bank ringer. Easy to detect.
March 13, 2021 - Good tannins. Pepper, tobacco. Earthy. Nice finish
October 5, 2020 - Beautiful wine! Glad to have it!
February 24, 2020 - PNP.
Medium red color with no apparent sediment. On nose, red cherry, red currants, tobacco - On palate, tobacco, herbs (bell pepper) and cherry fruit. I enjoyed this but on the way downhill -90+/- today.
May 3, 2019 - This wine is firing on all cylinders after about 2 hours decant. May last for a couple more years, may not. Why wait? If you are sitting on this, have a drink soon.
October 27, 2017 - Very impressive initially. Faded a bit 2nd and 3rd day.
June 30, 2017 - Definitely ready now. Aerated and decanted. My first Cabernet Franc so take my thoughts for what they are worth! Delicious wine, not as big as a CabSav. Smooth and very pleasant.
May 10, 2017 - Deliciously complex wine!
March 2, 2017 - Notes from night 2 (in cellar under vacu-vin).
Medium red color - clear meniscus and no sediment. On nose, menthol, bright cherry, green olives. On palate, very fresh with medium+ acidity, cherry, sweet cherry and touch of tobacco with well integrated tannins and medium+ finish. Very enjoyable. Clearly at peak but could go for 5 more years easy if this bottle is any indication. 91+ on night 2.
