May 14, 2016 - I was worried because this bottle had a punk cork. Despite best efforts with an ah-so corkscrew (after regular corkscrews hollowed out the cork, decanting through a mesh sieve salvaged the situation. Opaque colour. Big graphite and sweet cassis entry and finish. Plush tannins and texture. Plenty of years left.

January 30, 2016 - Good fill. Cork broke on removal. Decanted for four hours; moderate sediment. Deep ruby to the rim. Lovely nose of dark fruits and cigar box. Stunningly full mouth feel with full-bodied dark fruit well balanced by lively acids and smooth tannins. Long finish of tart black cherries. A great wine chosen for my birthday celebration; I was not disappointed. Should be good for many more years.

December 26, 2015 - Drank two bottles on Christmas eve. Fabulous showing. Dark crimson Not fading at the rim. On the nose typical cs perfume with a Little cedar and a whiff of cedar. On the palate, red berries, tropischen wood and surprisingly faint Banana

December 9, 2015 - Full bodied, rich, plush, fat and juicy, the wine is lush, round textured, concentrated, delicious and packed with fruit, plus it's ready to go!

October 20, 2015 - Chateau Latour Vertical Tasting - TWG (Des Moines): Amazing, monumental wine. Loads of big, dark fruit. Layers of cocoa and baking spices. Really complex. Drinking so well right now. It bears a strong resemblance to the 2003 Chateau Latour.
