  June 4, 2018 - Terroir-istes International - USA - California, Napa, Oakville (Cape Town Law offices): (Tasted Blind): Deep red-black colour. Initially, there is a touch of reduction, but it gives way to black and blue fruits, including creme de cassis and oak spices. Some lifted aromas appear slightly volatile, with a balsamic and soy note.
  The wine is heavy with mocha, chocolate, oak, and spices, all held in place by generous alcohol. The fruit struggles to come together and seems to fad towards the finish, with the tannins drying and lacking flesh. There is a mineral touch; some felt the fruit was like a blackcurrant cordial, aka Ribena.
  Some development hasn't helped its freshness, and it is now rather hot and bothered. It has a mid-length finish and seems to have seen better days.
  Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc

  March 15, 2014 - Still a great wine. A very smooth blend that is in its prime. I wish I had a few more bottles, but would finish them by 2017.

  Drank with Cheese plate along side 2002 magnificat. I enjoyed this more, my wife liked the 2002. (Both were great, I like cab franc more than she does)
  
  Wonderful color, nose, flavor balance, I wish I had more, I think it would last longer, but no need.
  
  This is another wine from my collection that I was always saving for a special occasion or dinner, I seem to have less special occasions than nice wines. Since my average price paid per bottle has gone up recently, it is time to open up some of these older bottles and enjoy them.
