December 13, 2015 - After a bit of air, this settled into a more classic Alsace grand-cru riesling. A bit petrolly, and not the most compelling nose for me, but it's still undeniably well-put-together. Acid could be a bunch stronger.

November 12, 2015 - Thursday night blinds at the new apartment with Tim (Duboce Triangle, SF): Lots of petrol. Slight botrytis
Tastes 14% Alcohol (actually 12.5)
Tastes 10-15g/L RS (actually 9.5)
Bitter! ? why?
Acid is elevated, not high.
This is a bit hot, flabby, and bitter for me. I’m surprised! I’ve always liked Z-H’s wines in the past.
cohnwine Likes this wine:
October 14, 2014 - Delicious. Sorbet-like. Nice balance between sweetness and acidity, though not technically an off-dry wine. It's a dry wine with an off-dry like fullness of body. Lemon, citrus zest. Long finish.

November 5, 2013 - Somewhat closed. Open at least 1 hour before serving and consider decanting.
November 4, 2013 - Blind tasted. Nose of citrus, lemon zest, lime, orange peel. white flowers, almonds, butter. Palate we hovered between dry and off-dry, med-plus acid, medium alcohol. Some of us guessed Chenin, most guessed Riesling. Surprised to find it was such high quality, keep this in the cellar for now.
