July 1, 2016 - Very smooth. Entering that elegant phase. The 10% Pinot Blanc adds an unusual flavor dimension that sings. A little sulfur on the nose but it blew off quickly. Wish I had one more bottle to open in about 5-7 years.

July 16, 2014 - Tropical nose, good concentration, but lacking acidity to lift it.

April 8, 2014 - WineBerserkers Bay Area Burgundy Tasting (Martins West, Redwood City): A bit more golden in color; bit of sulfur on the nose, when that fades, nose has subtle intensity, some white fruit; palate is medium-light, on the simpler side, finish is short-medium. 88

November 25, 2013 - I will admit I bought this thinking it was a red. The good news is that I truly enjoyed this wine.

Under screwcap. A fair amount of sulfur on opening, which needed an hour or so to blow off. Medium bodied with good concentration and excellent freshness. Grassy / herbal profile with little obvious fruit on the palate. Intense stony minerality and a lot going on mid palate. Really shined close to room temperature. Fantastic effort from a ripe vintage!

October 15, 2012 - Opened a terrible bottle of Mencia, revolted and grabbed this in half. Nose like good Burgundy. Toast, Herbs, Stones, a bit of tree fruit in the background. This was pretty lovely. Medium-bodied, high acid and really stony. Very much lean and atypical for this vintage of white Burgundy (at least in my experience). Rocky, long, mouthwatering finish. Wish it was a full
