May 20, 2017 - Rating not higher simply because we held this too long. Probably peaked five years ago. But the basic structure is still there. Just zero acid left. The fruits still there though. Honeysuckle, apricot and mellow apple flavors. Really good. Would have been if the charts fantastic 5-7 years ago.

March 25, 2015 - This was consumed from a half bottle and the wine is clearly waning at age 11. Practically no acid, but still quite delicious as a sipping wine showing mostly white peach, vanilla and some faint citrus peel. The mouthfeel was quite round at first but not flabby at all given the lack of acid. The finish was short and abrupt. Drink up if you still have some!

January 7, 2014 - absolutely marvelous, not a bit showing its decade-old age, other than a rich and complex bouquet of flowers, stone fruits and spices. Light gold in color, the wine had mouth-filling fruit and some acidity and medium body. A majestic wine in its prime.

January 30, 2013 - Light golden yellow / medium straw yellow; fresh flinty nose, some honey; fresh attack, nice well-balanced body, rounded, full, a bit flat without layers, but nevertheless quite good
