March 31, 2024 - Day later from memory. Dark cherry color. Lovely deep woodsy nose that was bursting with sweet black cherry. Medium to full bodied, perhaps a touch light for grand cru but excellent once rolling around the palate with a solid retro-nasal blast of dark berry fruit and a mineral component. No deterioration over two days, still quite youthful but very pleasurable drinking right now.

February 10, 2024 - Bright red, slight orange edge, slow thin drops. Vanilla, oak, red fruit, undergrowth, cassis, herb nose. Cassis, red cherry, vanilla, faint graphite taste. Brilliant fruit and restrained tannins with pleasant acid balance. Feels light, worked great with pork belly, so not light! Plenty of vigour, will last ages.

November 18, 2023 - From magnum. Very nice light and elegant. Has evolved nicely in the bottle.

October 3, 2022 - A very pleasant surprise (had this wine few years back and it was strong then too) continues to be Bouchard's 2010 Le Corton. Defying my preconception of it probably being a touch austere and rustic it's the exact opposite. It's highly fragrant, light touch (not too extracted), transculent, polished and with nice sweet core fruit of strawberries. It drinks delightfully easy already today but will surely be superb over the next 10-20 years. But I will just pop my bottles I think as they are rather irresistible today.
