April 30, 2020 - Remarkable how few comments there are regarding this Meritage. It’s a central coast blend, predominately Cabernet Sauvignon. Alcohol is 13.5 and the balance is very good. Perhaps this wine only needed some bottle age, at a price point where most people would not cellar it. A nicely crafted wine giving great pleasure at 12 years of age. Beats most cheapie bordeaux running away.

January 26, 2012 - Received as a gift and opened as we needed something to cook with. Nose of stewed red fruit. Dark red fruit on the palate with a touch of olive. Clearly not from top quality grapes. Acceptable wine - certainly many worse at this price point. But given the choice between this and beer - I'm going with beer.
