March 15, 2021 - This bottle was just rocking my world. Soft and slightly savory tomato leaf notes, then herbs and potpourri and cherry fruits. Palate was totally supple and smooth but not lacking for freshness. Outstanding to drink now. Don't wait any longer.
March 12, 2021 - Aged and devel I ped. Loved the sweet aged fruit.
August 18, 2020 - Deliciously deep and dark; strongly evokes Nuit St. Georges at this latter stage in its life. Drink or hold.
August 7, 2020 - Owned since release. Dark red color with just a hint of bricking at the edges. Cool red and blue fruit jam with a touch of blood orange jumps out of the glass. In the background there is also a touch of menthol. Still lots of fruit on the attack surrounded by a minty pine nut shell. Wine is light on the pallet with a touch of noticeable alcohol on the finish. If it were not for that, this wine would be other worldly. Still, it remains admirable in its own right and is drinking well.
June 29, 2020 - Dark red with orange edge.
Dark, red fruit almost baked nose (dissipated with time) . Liqueur-like concentration. Although there is acid enough, this is a little cloying. Still vigorous but of a style that I dont prefer.
January 26, 2020 - I think this is nearing the end of its glorious drinking window. I have one more and will not keep that too long.
November 11, 2019 - Decanted with only a little sediment in the bottle. Garnet color in the glass, with a slightly browning rim. Aromas of prune, dried date, truffle and leather. The palate brings more stewed prune and red cherry, with cardamon and earthy, potting soil. Acidity is medium, and tannins have fully integrated. Definitely showing its maturity and probably best to drink sooner than later.
June 28, 2019 - Popped and poured. Medium dark. Medium body. Velvety. Plenty of fruit--more towards the sweet like cherry, strawberry. Tannins still present. Finish is slightly dry. Pure pleasure.
July 10, 2017 - Delicious with cold beef. In a good place for drinking.
May 28, 2017 - very nice pinot noir to pair with salmon. Nice balance, fruit shines through. I still prefer the Louis Latour burgandy though.
