March 30, 2023 - At the end of drinking window. Nice, dark color, Zinfandel driven, sweet nose. Not overly complex. Some red berries, some dried fruit, some sweetness. Quite short but silky and sweet finish. Drink up - I doubt that it’s getting any better.
March 22, 2020 - The aromas are complex and inviting, with lifted red fruit elements of raspberry and plum, as well as deeper bramble fruit notes and layers of vanilla, cream, nutmeg and cinnamon · A smooth, rich entry leads to sweet plum and lingering spice notes, with hints of cedar and clove · The wine’s lush texture is supported by resolved tannins that lead to a full, ripe finish.
November 24, 2019 - Pleasantly surprised... Soft and supple. Would not have thought it was a Zinfandel blend. Decanted for an hour and a half. Near it's peak.
October 27, 2017 - Remarkable. Opens with huge fruit but has serious, perfectly melded tannin and tobacco notes. I would not have guessed that the blend is with CS; would have taken the second grape to be syrah. I'd say this is peaking but will be quite good for at least 4-5 years.

Assemblage de zinfandel et cab sauvignon.
Robe bien sombre.
Bouquet assez typique napa zin, mais assez fin:: fruits noirs bien confiturés et un peu boisé.
Bouche d'une densité moyenne, fruits noirs, tannins moyennement soyeux.
Style un peu plus moderne que Lytton.
Pas mal bon maintenant. Un Napa zin fin, passe partout.

February 24, 2016 - Aromas of blueberry pie, black raspberry jam, spice with just a whif of fresh cut herbs. Acidity holding, flavors showing tart black cherry, stewed blackberry, dark chocolate, softening tannins, slightly hot would drink up
