April 11, 2015 - Very ripe jammy red and black fruit driven nose, cherries, blackberries, sap, dark spices, tree bark, iron and earth. Very good concentration, dense jammy red fruit driven palate impression, strong presence of mineral and iron, good acidity and noticeable structure. For my palate, this seems very gevrey with iron, tree bark/cedar and dark spices. This is a dense jammy wine that needs at least five more years to come together and another five more to again sous bois and other tertiary notes.

January 21, 2014 - I agree with "short and confused" on all points..... Fantastic village wine. Fourrier does it again!

April 21, 2013 - Floated a trial balloon on this to compare with other recent '10 Fourrier villages. Underwhelming at this stage -- best word to describe it is "muted". Serviceable, though somewhat sappy-sweet fruit. Never pops (day 2 included) on either the nose or palate. Bottle didn't seem off in any way, so its a bit of a head-scratcher. No reason to open again any time soon; try again 2015+.

April 14, 2013 - My heavens. I would not have identified this as a village wine blind. Color: Good bright full red. Nose: High pitched red cherries, flowers and spice with lower pitched notes of smoke and earth. Palate: Tangy tiny berry densely packed red fruit. Brisk, pure, elegant- an almost explosive silkiness. No stems here- just beautiful pure pinot fruit. Of note, there is what I can only describe as a hint of bubblegum- but good bubblegum, very good bubblegum. This is why I spend money on Burgundy. 3 bottles left. Should I let them lie in the cellar when it is this good right now?
