  December 30, 2014 - St Roman is one of the gateways of sorts between the heights of gamay and the first quality entry point of pinot. Some in a fine vintage like this show rich body and abundant fruit. And T-M is one of burgundy's best estates for early drinking refined burgundy. Having said all of that, this bottle showed a rough , too earthy handle. Dark cherry slightly stewed fruit--raspberry, plum,cherry notes but none expressive-- in a pleasant restaurant bottle that went okay with a rich meal but was inferior to the small grower cru beaujolais that followed. The wine did Not have a consistent feel and should be consumed soon.

  May 4, 2013 - Beau fruit, ça pinotte. Fleurs, cerises, fumée au nez. La bouche n'est pas la plus concentrée, mais elle est pure, avec des tanins doux. Un peu terreuse, légère amerturme en finale qui n'enlève rien au charme du vin
