March 22, 2023 - Bright purple-red color, fading to the edges. Attractive aromas of cherries and moist earth. Bright and clear on the palate, cherries, blueberries, anise. Fine tannins, crisp acidity, nice balance. Finishes long and gradual with blueberries prominent and some cherry notes. Lovely minerality across the palate. I'd say this was at peak and would drink over the next 3 to 4 years. 83% Grenache; 15% Mourvedre; 2% Syrah.

April 2, 2021 - Of the recent notes on this, my experience mirrors Ed’s last note the most. A Premium drinking experience! It bested the 2007 Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf to the extend, that it was almost embarrasing. I do have a cold Danish cellar, but still this was so lively and fresh as to almost exceed my expectations. Both for quality and drinking experience and for how youthful it appeared. Simply just in a perfect spot!

October 29, 2020 - I do keep my cellar cold, so wines mature slowly, but the fact my ratings have gone 89, 91, 93, 94 says this is age-worthy & still prime. PnP. After one sip, immediately decanted the rest. Evolved over 2+ hours. Deep ruby. Very, very long finish. Blackberry and spice predominate, but tart cherry, raspberry and cranberry drift in and out over time.

On my last 1/4 glass. Cherry cola, big spice, hint of anise. Still huge finish. Love this wine.

April 10, 2020 - Perhaps past its prime, but still delicious. Cherries, blackberries, and leather. Smooth tannins, great mouthfeel. A hint of alcohol, it is 15.5%, but not intrusive or hot, at all.

April 26, 2019 - Drink up. Seems to be losing its livelyness as it comes across somewhat flabby on the palate. Red fruit and spice driven with some alcohol poking through on the finish. Very modern style red Rhone blend.

March 11, 2019 - Medium ruby-garnet. Kirsch, raspberry and spice box flow from the glass. On the palate, medium-full to full bodied with flavors of cherry, red currant, and earth. Much more primary and fruit driven than the charcuterie-laced 2009. A bit softer too! Enjoy this imminently drinkable wine from late 2012 through 2018

January 10, 2019 - My last bottle of this delicious Rhone blend and a huge improvement from a bottle drank 5 years ago. PnP and drank with grilled pork chops. Dark fruits, cassis, spice, earthiness. Great balance. Wish I had more. Drink or hold.
