February 3, 2022 - I've been a fan of Concannon for the last half-century. Tonight I was rooting around in my wine collection for something to go with tonight's steak & mushrooms. And I found my last bottle of this wine. I must have tasted it a decade ago, but I had no recollection of it at all. That fact is significant.
This wine turned out to be a major disappointment, 11+years after the vintage. It had thrown off much of its tannins/pigments in a heavy masking sediment stuck tightly to the inside of the bottle. Though the wine still has ample color, the lack of phenolics upsets the palate. The wine seems thin and noticeably sweet. I must have liked it much better back in the day when I bought it. But today, the residual sugar dominates everything. It is destined for the stew-pot. I went back and got out a decent 2009 CndP for supper. Now that's a pretty good red wine, about an 88. It's a mid-low-level wine brought in for Trader Joe's, and it has aged beautifully.
Everybody's tasting notes are more enjoyable than the Concannon 2010 Crimson & Clover! IMNSHO !!!

March 21, 2019 - Just to much sweatness and fruit. Jammy full body. The last bottle ... at last

August 16, 2018 - This wine is cheap and you should judge it with that background. Full body with a lot of sweatness and not a lot of character. Still if you chill it ... it´s an OK tablewine with nice stew

March 1, 2016 - This was still a nice wine. The last bottle of a case I have been drinking on for a couple of years. I would buy again. Great burger wine. Not too big

February 18, 2016 - This was thin and fruit-juicy upon opening. A couple of days later it was more enjoyable. Next time just plan to give it some air time even though it's just a bargain wine.
