April 18, 2018 - Could still use another year or two - but tasting really solid

November 26, 2015 - Expected a lot more from this wine. Fruit-forward cab flavors dominate, some spice from the Zin but what is missing is the real story. Not very complex, no cedar or tobacco that you would normally expect at this price point from a Napa cab base. Basically just a fruit bomb. Neutral rating based on price.
November 22, 2013 - Fruit-forward, medium-bodied Cabernet dominates, but with a nice touch of pepper and spice from the Zin on the finish. A splash of earth, oak and vanilla round out the taste with tannins that indicate a good short term cellaring window. This is a crowd pleaser and a nice QBR at $40/bottle.
October 26, 2013 - Tasted after a 2 hour decant. Reasonably good wine that I thought I'd like better. Blend of 62% Cab and 38% Zinfandel. Very nice structure with supple/velvety tannins. The overly strong, simpleton black currant finish is a little too "Juicy Juice"-style and leaves me wanting more complexity. I typically enjoy wines from Paraduxx and I'm certainly willing to try this wine again to see if I find it more fulfilling.
May 9, 2013 - Nicely integrated fruit and oak a real pleasure. Medium weight n tannins
March 8, 2013 - Smooth, rich red wine. Went well with Prime Rib
February 15, 2013 - The round fruit of the Cab pairs perfectly with the spice from the Zin.
December 12, 2012 - A little bland at first but went very well after a few bites of spicy food.
November 12, 2012 - had to search to get anything from the nose...hints of blackberry are there, but not much else. Taste of chocolate, cranberry and cherry. Drying finish and a slight suggestion of wateriness take the score down a touch.
