April 6, 2024 - brvino Wine Tasting #5 - Rosé (brvino Undergraduate Wine Club at UCLA): Much more interesting on the nose with white pepper, strawberry jam, lavender, and toast (maybe cheese?). Cherry shows again and maybe watermelon, too. There is a lot of energy and juiciness on the nose.
On the palate, it’s fun and exciting. Grapefruit, honey, and even a little bit of ginger.
    I like this one.

March 6, 2024 - Color is a golden orange. Lovely nose of strawberry, green apple, pear. Fresh and bright. Large bubbles, not super refined. Palate is a bit flat, but a nice mix of strawberry, red fruit, and orchard fruit, decent acidity. Definitely an enjoyable pour.

February 21, 2024 - GRAND TASTING #2: Med coral color. Good, steady bubble stream. For the money, this is great stuff. Fresh, fruity, effervescent. Not complex but easy drinking and a real bargain.

February 11, 2024 - Ordered a glass in a restaurant and it was served in a coup. Pinkish orange color. Solid bead with notes of fresh raspberries and some stoney nuances. Rather fresh. 88 points.

January 14, 2024 - Very nice, if modest, pinot noir-based Crémant d'Alsace. Bubbles are relatively large compared to a quality Champagne or Crémant de Bourgignon, but that's because, according to the Lucien Albrecht website, the wine has spent just a year in the bottle on the secondary fermentation lees. The result is a quality sparkler for the price — certainly one for more everyday drinking than saving for a special occasion.

Half bottle ordered with appetizers. No formal notes. Decent price point on the menu.

November 1, 2023 - Salmon pink. Smelled strawberry, ruby red grapefruit or maybe orange, brioche, and yeastiness; tasted the same. The mousse persists pretty well, the body is light, the finish is refreshing with fruitiness fading to dry with medium length. Could use a touch more acid, but in the whole one to come back to especially at the price.

October 12, 2023 - Red fruit pronounced; decent effervescence. A bit heavy for what it is.
