July 8, 2016 - No notes but on recollection this was solid. Not outstanding but solid acidity made the wine reasonably light on its feet. Flavor profile was interesting enough w 6 years of bottle age developing some secondary flavors paired with some good fruit. Solid.
February 17, 2016 - Too cold at first which overemphasized the oak. Warmed up and became rich and full.
October 29, 2015 - This started out as a total oak bomb - nose was overwhelmed with creamy vanilla and oak notes. Palate was similar with the fruit pretty much entirely masked. The oak settled down a little bit but not enough for me. There was some ripe fruit underneath it but hard to really pull anything out specific. Palate was light +. Not sure if this needed more time to integrate but right now, for me, this is a no-go.
May 13, 2015 - Pineapple, vanilla oak and toffee on the nose, with a hint of almond paste. Heavy body and a smooth, long finish, with peach, ripe apple and vanilla throughout. Still nicely balanced, mild acidity. Not buttery. Definitely a mature chardonnay at this point.
February 14, 2015 - Popped and poured. Nice Cali Chardonnay. I think it may be a bit past it's prime, lacking acid that would set above other Cali Chardonnay.
February 3, 2014 - Popped and poured with baked tilapia. Aroma was initially quite citrus. It showed a bit of vanilla by as it warmed, the vanilla became more prominent. I'm normally not a big fan of that in my chardonnay, but this was well balanced.
June 22, 2013 - Cali chard but a very good one. First time to try this and found it very nice... nose of stone fruits, minerals and some tropical notes which carry over on the palate. This wine has a generous feel in the mouth and the buttery/vanilla smoothness is there but the oak is not overdone. Nice finish that adds some crispness and minerality. Thought I would give it a try and glad I did.
February 17, 2013 - standard cali chard a bit heavy on the oak.
January 3, 2013 - Fresh, bright with some stone fruit underneath - didn't notice the oak or vanilla - not terribly complex, but nicely drinkable if not a bit flat - doubt that time will improve this piece
The wine looks Greenish gold colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Peach, and Honeydew. It tastes like Lemon, Peach, Pear, Cantaloupe, and Honeydew. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Short.
December 26, 2012 - clearly a california chard, but i still like it. Main complaint is that vanilla overpowers the rest of the nose. good balance/finish. some lemon (even maybe orange rind) and a touch of minerality underneath the oak.
