December 22, 2019 - Even smoother and more flavorful than the last bottle. Very solid wine.

December 13, 2018 - This has really mellowed out and now it is very supple and smooth - just rolls off the tongue.
Lots of black cherry, chocolate, herbs, with slight pepper on the finish. Very enjoyable.

October 6, 2018 - This was showing really nicely. I brought this to lunch as a group of us helped with harvesting Chardonnay and Riesling. The family provided wine and a huge slab of beef. The Cab Sauvignon fans really enjoyed this. The oak was manageable, decent acids, good fruit and not as much sweetness, stickiness you see from places like QC. Fairly impressed. Typical dark cassis based fruit with secondary notes of cedar, baking spices and such. Great mouthfeel too.

April 22, 2017 - Enjoyed this wine. Double decanted without much time. It opened up quickly and was loaded with red and dark fruit and really smooth. Tertiary notes were beginning to show as we finished the bottle. Not a ton of complexity to the wine. Hold for the tertiary notes or drink up if you prefer the fruit.

October 31, 2014 - Decanted, let sit for about an hour before drinking. Nose was a little reticent at first, but opened up with loads of dark fruits, toast, and dark chocolate. Full bodied on the palate with serious density. Reasonable acidity, but definitely some sweetness from the alcohol. A fair amount of very pleasant tannin on the finish. Well structured and great fun to drink.

January 28, 2013 - Nice wine, maybe a little too much oak or too sweet for my palate, but was a hit with rest of the folks. Don't know how well it will hold up under long term aging, but is good now.

November 17, 2012 - Yakima Valley Maiden Voyage Tasting Tour!; 11/14/2012-11/18/2012 (Yakima Valley AVA, Naches Heights, Snipes, Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mountain, Rattlesnake AVAs): Caramel coated red fruit fragrances. Bitter and hollow at the mid-point. Cherry on the finish. Would benefit from 2+ years in the bottle

August 26, 2012 - Delicious. Smooth. Big fruit. I wonder if this has enough tannins for aging, but who cares it's great now!
