April 12, 2010 - Amanteigado, ótima presença, frutas e baunilha. Suportou bem um strogonoff sem tomate no molho.

February 17, 2010 - the color was eye popping golden. The taste was good with a nice level of barrel, but not over done at all. Did I mention the color was amazing?

Bright golden color leapt out of the glass. On the nose were notes of white floral mixed with fig, honey, and pear. Tropical fruits melded with a buttery texture and well balanced oak. Crisp finish of tangerine and sage with lingering acidity. Very nice structure for a chardonnay.

December 14, 2008 - One of the best California Chards I have had, it was full of tropical fruit, and a whole lot of oak, and butter. Not that those are the end all be all. Still it was very good. I got this bottle on clearance somewhere, and would have been disappointed had I spent the money to buy it full retail.

November 27, 2008 - buttery richness makes it full on the mouth with a nice finish. Have liked other years a little better but good stuff...maybe a touch heavy on the oak.

September 26, 2008 - Another one that apparently I like more than everybody else. Tropical fruits and sweet oak on the nose with good depth. Well balanced on the palate, with enough age to take any edge of the acidity and oak that may have been there earlier. A sweetness that I find more common in Rhone blends, giving it a lush mouthfeel. Fruit, acid, and oak seem to be in great balance for my taste. A style I've always liked, Mer Soleil is probably the closest thing I have to a "house white", along with its cousin Treana.

September 3, 2008 - One of the best tasting chardonnay's I've had, not as buttery as most. Would buy again.
