April 12, 2016 - Dark, round, creamy, zingy, with a surprising amount of sweet oak. Very much alive.

July 1, 2013 - Beautiful wine, fully mature & drinking nicely. Forward fruit, nice complexity, perfectly balanced.
May 18, 2012 - Nose of black berries, sap, gobs of wood, and Eau de Draper. Very juicy medium+ body, chewy mouth-coating tannin with fairly pronounced wood tannin, medium acidity. On the palate, blackberry, oak; tart; long drying finish. Nice, fruit-forward (if somewhat oaky) zin.
June 5, 2010 - Jimsomare Vertical at The White House (The White House, Anaheim, CA): Soft nose showing bright berries and wood. Juicy with mouth coating tart acidity. Good balance but seeming to lack the fruit concentration of some of the others. Drinks well today and probably not one for extended aging.
June 5, 2010 - 2003 Ridge Jimsomare Zinfandel
The fruit needed some coaxing as this also closed up after opening. Yet very well balanced and solid structure which should translate into a solid wine in a few years. 13.6% ABV

July 31, 2007 - Solid fruit filled Zin a pleasure to drink alone or with a meal
November 28, 2006 - Tasted against a Frogs leap Zin and the Ridge was much softer and had more berry on the palate. A constant pleaser I will always be a fan of this wine.
