April 25, 2022 - Ein Schwergewicht kommt ins Glas. Dunkelviolett, mit bräunlichen Tönen. 15 Umdrehungen.

December 5, 2020 - 8 months later and still fantastic. Great with steak. Great with ragu. Good ripe fruit, but not over ripe. Slight eucalyptus (Chile norm).

August 22, 2020 - There was an initial weird smell but gradually got better and more of the plum notes was present after some letting it air.

Taste of plums and cassis but had a short finish. Probably reaching the end of its drinking window. But I still like it anyway.

March 26, 2020 - Thick and starting to deepen in color. Nose has menthol and dark brooding berries. This is day 2 open and the menthol is really taking grip on the nose. More than I remember on day 1. The tannins are silky and acidity still present, but fading. Green menthol and dark berries, blue and black, pine needles too and a bit of forest floor. Tasty.

March 24, 2020 - dark red, thick, tannins in the baloon. At the nose it is complex, with notes of marasca plums and graphite. At the palate it is consistent and powerful, with some dark chocolate and pencil while ripe plums are still there. Perfect with spicy dishes thanks to its thickness and power, but enjoyable also alone while meditating after a booming day on the stock market despite covid

November 21, 2019 - dark, inpenetrable, with clear hints of carmenere grapes. At the palate it is thick, silky and with a sandy texture. A food wine, in my opinion, a little rusty somehow and the more I drink it, the less I love it. Well paired with a beuf filet

July 6, 2019 - May be getting past it's prime. This bottle wasn't as enjoyable as my last.

October 26, 2018 - Whether from age or excessive heat this wine has taken on raisin/prune characteristics that weren't present in my prior bottle from a different "lot". Still a good wine with mature black fruit, med-full body and a long, spicy/earthy finish.

October 15, 2018 - powerful and monoilitic blend of CabSauv and Camenere, the latter grape giving more complexity and thickness. Dark chocolate, leather, underbrush, wet leaves. Bitter end. Lacks some elegance but very enjoyable.
