April 19, 2016 - Tight and hot. Disappointing.

April 2, 2016 - Only about an hour decant, but needed much more. Tannic and grippy with a solid structure and good blue and black fruit backing. The tannins were just too overwhelming for me the first day and only slightly better on day 2. This is a wine that I feel like has the potential to be special and has all the right elements, it just isn't there yet. Maybe in another 3 to 5 years. I have one more bottle, hopefully it will be better the next time.

March 20, 2016 - Decanted for an hour. Great complexity and lots of potential, but still quite tight and a bit off balance. Should improve nicely with further aging and probably a longer decant!

March 4, 2016 - This was a really solid bottle of One Point Five, much better than my other 2010 One Point Five I drank last summer. The bouquet just exploded out of the bottle and the wine was ready to drink from the first sip. It evolved nicely as the evening progressed which sparked a lot of coffee table conversation and made the experience all the more enjoyable.

    February 17, 2016 - Vintage Comparison 2011 vs. 2010 Napa Cabernet Sauvignons (83 1/2 Restaurant, 345 E. 83rd Street, NY, NY 10028): Had this at a 2011 vs. 2010 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon tasting dinner.

Oddly, I think I preferred the 2011 version to this one. I think the 2010 has a lot of potential to get better, but on this night, the 2011 was better. Although the 2010 did have a longer finish.
