May 13, 2017 - Color- deep dense purple blue
Nose - black currant and strained red fruit.
Taste - juicy black-currant-blueberry and red currant are the predominant flavors with hints of anise, cedar, and black pepper. The tannins are not overwhelming in potency but do linger and there is mild acidity.

March 26, 2017 - My neighbor brought this over for the NCAA basketball tournament. Purple fruit - dark raspberry, currants, and blackberry. Smooth mid-palate with decent depth but I expected bigger/fuller fruit in light of Parker's 95 rating. Solid finish but not overly long nor deep. Decanted for one hour and drank over another three. Not much improvement with time but at a nice drinking point after the decant. Drank next to a 2010 Janzen Cloudy's cab and I thought the Cloudy's was quite a bit better - bigger/fuller fruit, longer/deeper finish, etc.. 99% cab and 1% petit verdot.

February 13, 2017 - This bottle was a big hit at a cigar dinner. It used to require a fairly big decant, but does not need that now. Drinking well. I am confused by the inconsistency of the ratings in the tasting notes. When you need a deep dark red for dinner.....get a bottle of this one out.

February 12, 2017 - Somewhat disappointing. Quite a lot of sediment. Limited nose. Dark fruit and lots of tannins.

January 29, 2017 - Very good, lots of sediment. Should stand up a few hours before opening. After 1.5 hour it was very fresh like flipping a switch. Very dusty tannins initially.
