December 5, 2016 - Wine that is really coming into its own. Deep purple, eggplant color, rich and full, with lots of coffee, dark fruit, and a long finish. Seems very well integrated at the moment -- smooth...

October 9, 2016 - Sadly, no notes - I thought we were drinking the 2011, and wondered why this one seemed to have a bit more of everything...now I know!

April 19, 2016 - Tight and hot. Disappointing.

April 2, 2016 - Only about an hour decant, but needed much more. Tannic and grippy with a solid structure and good blue and black fruit backing. The tannins were just too overwhelming for me the first day and only slightly better on day 2. This is a wine that I feel like has the potential to be special and has all the right elements, it just isn't there yet. Maybe in another 3 to 5 years. I have one more bottle, hopefully it will be better the next time.

March 20, 2016 - Decanted for an hour. Great complexity and lots of potential, but still quite tight and a bit off balance. Should improve nicely with further aging and probably a longer decant!
