January 13, 2024 - Coravin. Very good. Blind I would have guessed CdP/southern Rhone. Sweet dark red fruits with some oak. Pronounced acidity and tannins but very balanced. 91 p.

November 10, 2023 - 2023 Ridge Montebello harvest dinner. Tastings were focused on cool-year wines, and 2010 was one of those late harvest years.
Simply a magical window for this wine right now. Still a mostly ruby color. Incredibly bright nose with a beautiful ripe finish and nice acid. Surprisingly fruit forward for a cool year wine, and a very refined finish.
Paired with a garlic and thyme mushroom galette with fontina cheese.

October 20, 2023 - Had a lot, wish I had more. Very nice blend in a great drinking window.

October 18, 2023 - Wow. Nose is dark fruit and heavy wet leather, more dark fruit on the palate with chocolate. Long finish. Will hold but I doubt it will improve

August 5, 2023 - A blend of 67% Zinfandel, 23% Petite Sirah, 7% Carignane, and 3% Mourvedre. A beautiful bouquet fills the nose with plum, Zin funk, molasses, a bit of rhubarb, some coffee and mocha mixed in as well. Much the same on the palate with coffee, mocha, and vanilla on the finish. The resolved, round tannins are well integrated, while the fruit remains fresh and lively. Crisp acidity results in a well-balanced wine that delivers much pleasure. Some serious sediment. 14.4% alc. With pepperoni pizza. 08.05.23. Recommended.
