February 19, 2024 - A very subtle elegant soft wine. Takes about a hour for it to truly open up and show its capabilities. Slight fruit nose. a bouquet of red and black fruit, good acidity, subtle tannins with a wonderful lingering sweetness. This evolves and gets better with each glass. A pleasure to drink.

December 1, 2023 - Magnificent minty aroma, full body, firm tannin, very long, a little astringency soon to fade, you still have to wait 2-3 years. For me, the best 2011 with Latour and VCC. At a still human price.

November 28, 2023 - Bordeaux Visits - November 2023: Deep, garnet-ruby color. Dark fruit and savory aromas - black currant, iron, violet, leather and cedar, among others. Refined and elegant on the palate, showing extensive notes of black fruit, black tea, melted stone, licorice, and spice, all very-well integrated. Elegant and expansive mid-palate, finishing with long & fine tannins and very nice length.

August 27, 2023 - This was great straight from the bottle. I much prefer lighter vintages and this helps make it more approachable at a relatively young age for Bordeaux. Beautiful black fruits with subtle tannins and a lovely perfume. Absolutely classic claret from of the greatest makers. Had at Dewakan in KL

August 23, 2023 - Impossible to hide the excitement of tasting a wine from this legendary Chateau for the first time. I focus and try to convey in words what I found in the glass. The wine is dark, almost impenetrable, and the nose is extremely complex and free from any defects. Woody notes stand out with a beautiful toasting, root licorice, tobacco, and cocoa, while the fruit is dominated by cassis and fully matured dark berries. On the palate, it's seductive, enveloping, and incredibly savory. The tannin is precise and remains soft on the palate, helping to enhance the monstrous persistence of this wine. It changes every 10 minutes and gradually reveals itself in a kaleidoscope of aromas and scents, from floral to sweet spice, and even hints of animalic notes, although never too intrusive. Without any comparisons at this level, I definitely consider it one of the best tastings of my life.

April 15, 2023 - Very finely-textured but rather lean with limited generosity. It's Margaux for sure but a vintage to pass on. Tasted at the Chateau.

March 20, 2023 - Tasted at Chateau. Deep red purple. Nose quite expressive with red and blue fruit. Palate approachable with layers of cherry and blueberry. Hallmark elegance, yet complex with fine tannin and a medium long finish. No green notes. The elegance and refinement of Margaux but lacking the concentration and power of a great year.
