February 17, 2018 - Muted upon opening, after 30 minutes started to develop in to a fine Classic Loire CB. Fresh, some tropical fruits, a hint of smoke. Great acidity.

On day two already tired, no fun any more. Drink up now if you got 'em.

September 17, 2015 - Medium intensity, lemon color.

Developing nose with a medium(+) aroma intensity. Ridiculously complex, slightly oxidized, with aromas of peach, mango, bruised red apple, yellow apple, lemon, honey, fresh herbs, spice box, funk, cheese rind, wet wool, almonds and a hint of oak. Wow.

Dry on the palate with a medium acidity, medium body and medium(+) flavor intensity. Flavors of lemon, peach, bruised apple, mango, apricot, nuts, spice box, cheese rind, wet wool and spice box. The finish is medium(+) bordering on long with just a little bit of warmth from the alcohol.

This is so good! For me Savennières like this is the ultimate expression of dry Chenin Blanc. Complex, funky with great intensity and depth. This one could stick around for probably another 15 years without problem but it's damn good today.

September 5, 2013 - Langton's Classification Tasting (Carraigeworks, Sydney): Lemon pith, quince and orange rind. The palate is rich and maybe ends up a little too dense - a pinch more acidity would be super. Enjoyable but not outstanding.
