September 12, 2016 - While a decent wine, nothing particularly noteworthy. For price point, disappointing.

September 5, 2016 - I can´t see what the fuzz is all about?
This is a straight forward syrah wine with a beautiful nose and if you drink it enlarge zips it´s really good, but complex? no. not at all. its just pure and really good.
the aftertaste is a bit chemical and not so pleasant. This isn´t one of Mr smith´s better wines.

June 22, 2016 - air two hours. a big , complex wine. perfumed nose. dark fruit/charcoal finish which has a little bite. a good, if not thrilling experience. Okay QPR.

May 8, 2016 - I had some concerns that this would be closed down based on previous comments here however that is not the case. We've tried many of the K Vintners syrahs of various vintages and are very familiar with their style. There are the big muscular bruisers like Cougar Hills and The Hidden and there are the more floral, feminine styles like this one. I would have guessed this is from The Rocks region since it is reminiscent of some of the Cayuse and Reynvaan syrahs we've tried. It has a similar funk to it. The website however says that it is from Cougar Hills vineyard.

The 2010 edition of The Beautiful has a pretty nose of lavender and sweet tobacco. The palette has some dark fruit but is more on the savory side of the spectrum. Notes of plum, cured meats (pepperoni or salami I believe), and tobacco leaf. We enjoy the heck out of wines like this. Just very interesting to drink and never boring. 93 pts.

March 19, 2016 - Fantastic. Nose of blackberry pie, kirsch, tomato compote. Bright acidity, smooth tannins, perfect low sugar content. Great palate follows the nose. Long finish. Drinking well but lots of life ahead
