December 16, 2014 - Drank from white wine glass. Sharp citrus mellows to a lightly buttered toast as it warns. Best sparkling QPR Ever?

December 5, 2014 - Disgorged 5/2013. Medium gold. Thick mousse, with vigorous bubbles. More well-rounded a year later, with a little more nuttiness and creaminess on top of the usual lemon and mineral aspects. A great deal for around $17.

December 3, 2014 - Tasting pour. Another fine showing and the class of the domestic sparklers tonight. Very nice fruit profile, taut with fair minerality. Clean and finessed. Always a great QPR.

November 22, 2014 - Incredible value, matched with pumpkin curry soup, turkey in madeira gravy and date pudding with a caramel sauce. Handled them all with it's doughy, orange spice, gingery complexity. Perfect balance! What a delight.

September 17, 2014 - Smells like apple and sweet dough; appetizing. On the palate, fresh clean lemon, kiwi, and golden apple flavors, and a savory hint of yeast. Great balance between fresh acidity and the barest hint of sweetness, finishing completely dry. A dash of salinity. Good standby bubbly, easy to find, quite tasty, good value.

(NV Roederer Estate Brut Sparkling Wine Anderson Valley) From the moment you pop the cork, you can smell this aromatic sparker which is woven with fresh baked bread notes, yeast, pear, and spices. The oak ageing here provides the palate with a bit of extra richness and depth leading to a lingering finish. An outstanding sparkling wine at this price.
