June 27, 2016 - Clear pale straw with many medium bubbles. Toasted oak, pear, vanilla. Low acids, no tannins. Peach. Short balanced finish. BTG farmhouse

May 24, 2016 - Paris Judgement 40th Anniversary: Recently disgorged. Bubbles remain on the side of the glass not unlike Prosecco. Steely, light feel, quite elegant smoky citrus on the nose. Also - cold hard candy and oat flakes. Rather lean, I expected this to be fatter and more rustic.

May 20, 2016 - Toasty apple, biscuit, and a crisp finish. Great balance between old and new world styles.

May 18, 2016 - Very nice for the money. Apple, sweet lemon, a bit of honeysuckle on the nose. Rich, with nice acid, a bit of sweetness, and a lot of green apple. Not very toasty, but a good dose of tart, creamy acid. Nice.

May 6, 2016 - A good, affordable alternative to Champagne by a producer from Champagne, so it knows what it's doing. I paid $12 for a half bottle. Per the label, from the cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley in Northern California. Roeder has had 600 acres of family-owned viñards there since 1982, where it produces 100% estate-grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, adding oak-aged reserve wines to its blends.

(NV Roederer Estate Brut Anderson Valley) A very pretty aroma profile speckled with oak spices and lemon curd. The palate is lighter in style, fruit filled with abundant barrel spices.

(NV Roederer Estate Brut Sparkling Wine Anderson Valley) From the moment you pop the cork, you can smell this aromatic sparker which is woven with fresh baked bread notes, yeast, pear, and spices. The oak ageing here provides the palate with a bit of extra richness and depth leading to a lingering finish. An outstanding sparkling wine at this price.
