January 23, 2017 - Much improved since September. In fact, I probably had an off bottle then. This was smooth as silk from the beginning off the pop and pour. At full maturity and in good balance, with a nice savory, meaty entry with sweet, lush, dark fruit in the palate and into the finish. Drink now. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

September 2, 2016 - Seems muddled at the moment. Honestly can't tell if it's past its peak or just in a dumb phase. Still firm with good structure so I'm hoping the later.

May 26, 2015 - Opened and drank with grilled pork chops, roasted potatoes, and broccoli. Sweet oaky nose with plenty of meaty nuances, dark, ripe cherries, and even some motor oil. The palate is big, round, extracted, and supple, bringing loads of juicy black fruit, leather, herbs, meat stock, soy sauce, and ripe raspberries into the finish, which is dry, saturated, and has good length. Feels like this is nearing peak so I would drink over the next few years through 2018.

Now mature, syrah still driving the total with fruity mineral and tar nose
Smooth on palate with S pepper supplemented by spice and dark integrated tannins -

June 16, 2013 - Nose remarkably similar to syrah, with addition of almonds. On plate lots of fruit, tannins more pronounced than for the syrah...amazing what a little mourvedre can do.
Interesting WA twist on GSM (I suppose this is an Sgm - since 80% syrah)

The palate is rich and textured with moderate tannins and cherry flavors that draw out toward the finish. 80% Syrah, 10% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre. 14.9% alcohol. 49 cases produced.
